In the game of life I get the Draw-Fours
So was I productive this weekend? Eh, thats up for debate. Let's go to the list shall we:
Weekend TO-DO-LIST:
- Buy the 1st season Of Fraggle Rock
Up my monthy cell phone TXTing plan before Tim costs me a small fortuneWork on getting my site up .... I can hear you snickering damn it!- Maybe hit the "Gun Club" - dunno
Sigh, catch up with all the emails I have to respond to- Try not to think about why no one "likes" me
- Drink at the "Gun Club" if I can't pull off #6 - lol
So, I got some things done, others not, and even had some time for a lil self-pity. Oooo, what fun!
On the site front, I actually got a tiny bit work done. Ironically its nothing that the visitor can see, yet. But I got more of the gooey PHP guts in place. Namely code that wil let me serve up RSS/XML and ATOM feeds as content in the site. My inner news junky is doing cart-wheels. Now I can pull in the latest from Digg, Slate, BoingBoing, and any other sites that offer the raw XML. (If you are clueless GOOGLE: RSS or any of those site names - thats why God gave us Google damn it!)
You really can't beat free, self-updating content, plus its flushing out the site. So when it launches there will be no empty or dead pages. I repeat: EVERYTHING will be LAUNCH READY ... 'cuz I'm nuts with lofty goals.
And to end off topic... I bought yet another useless thing for my cell. This time its: UNO. Yeah I know, but im a sucker for UNO, and have been jones'n for it since I played Tim's copy. So I'm i sheep, sometimes its just easier to follow. I Baaah with pride damn it!
